Hi, I’m Tim! I’m a husband to Carly, dad to two amazing kids, Ellis and Lyndie, and dog-dad to our pup, Bair. Both Carly and I are teachers, and we absolutely love being involved in our kids’ lives—whether it’s cheering them on at their activities, helping with homework, or just enjoying family time together.

Photography is our creative outlet and a way to capture the beauty and joy in everyday moments. It’s something we do in our free time to provide those little extras in life that make it even more special.

WHY PHOTOGRAPHY?

MAKING AN IMPACT

My passion for photography started with my dad. Growing up, our family vacations often revolved around where he wanted to take pictures, and I loved tagging along to see the world through his lens. He instilled in me a deep appreciation for capturing life’s beauty, and those early experiences sparked a passion that has stayed with me ever since. My father passed away on 11/11/22 and since then, I have dedicated my talent in photography to him.

Today, photography is not just a creative outlet—it’s a way for me to provide what my wife’s and my teaching careers cannot. It helps us enjoy the little extras in life while giving me the chance to connect with others and create something meaningful. Plus, let’s be honest—it’s a lot of fun!

What are your hours?: At Tim Black Photography, we’re passionate about capturing your special moments, but photography is a part-time endeavor for us. Our full-time careers as teachers and parents are our first priority, so all hours are by appointment only.

This approach allows us to provide each client with the time and attention they deserve while balancing our commitments to our family and students. We’re happy to work with you to find a time that fits your schedule—whether it’s a weekday, weekend, or evening session.

Where are you located?: Because photography is a part-time endeavor for us, we do not have a traditional studio. Instead, we specialize in on-location photography services, bringing our equipment and expertise to your chosen setting—whether it’s a park, sports field, or your home.

When a studio setup is needed, we keep things simple and practical by using our garage. Is it glamorous? No, but it gets the job done and allows us to capture the high-quality images you expect.

Please note that all team & league picture days require an indoor location arranged by the host team/league.

What payment options do you accept?: We aim to make payment as convenient as possible! We accept nearly all forms of payment, including cash, checks, credit/debit cards, and popular digital payment platforms like Venmo and PayPal.

The only things we don’t accept are bitcoin and your first-born child—though we’re flattered you’d consider it!
